Samsung S8 sizes compared to other Samsung phones, leaked

Mar 12, 2017 under Science & Tech 185

Another Samsung Galaxy S8 leak has surfaced, and this one gives us a good idea of how the new flagship compares to existing devices.

New renders of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ have been shared, and they show the sizes of both phones and how they stack up compared to other flagship smartphones on the market. As you can see in the image above, the Galaxy S8 is around five millimeters shorter than the Galaxy Note 7, despite the GS8 having a larger (5.8-inch) screen than the Note 7 (5.7-inch).

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S8+ is around six millimeters taller than the Galaxy Note 7, while only being a smidge wider. The Galaxy S8+ is rumored to feature a 6.2-inch display.

Above you can see the Galaxy S8 and S8+ compared to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7+. At the bottom of this post, you can see Samsung’s new handsets compared to other recent Android flagships, including the Nexus 6P and Pixel XL.

Samsung has used a physical Home button and capacitive Back and Recent Apps buttons on its previous Galaxy S flagships, but it’s expected that the Galaxy S8 will change that. The upcoming device will reportedly feature on-screen navigation buttons and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader to the right of the rear camera. That’ll definitely help to reduce the overall footprint of the Galaxy S8 and S8+, and we’re looking forward to actually getting the phones in our hands to see exactly how they look and feel in the hand.
