Two killed, 10 others injured in Morang road mishap

ITAHARI: Two persons were killed and 10 others injured in a road mishap at Sundarharaicha Municipality-7 in Morang district today morning.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Uma Niraula (51) and Shyam Karki (52) of Bhadrapur Municipality-15, Jhapa.
The accident took place when a microbus (Ba 4 Kha 6919) they were riding on, en route from Jhapa to Kathmandu collided with a tree at the roadside after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Niraula and Karki breathed their last on the way to Biratnagar for treatment.
The injured have been sent to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Itahari-based Community Hospital and Biratnagar-based Golden Hospital for treatment, some of whom are in critical condition, informed the Eastern Regional Police Office, Itahari.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been kept at Golden Hospital in Biratnagar, according to the Traffic Police.
